Stirling High School Garden Project

Stirling High School’s eco-school team, pupils and staff have been working in collaboration with Torbrex Community Council, The Friends of Beechwood Park, the Friends of Kingspark, the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) and St Ninians Community Development Trust to develop a gardening project within the grounds of the school.

The eco-team obtained core funding for the project and additional grants have been obtained from Stirling Council, the Sons of the Rock and Torbrex Community Council.  The monies have been used to purchase a thirty six foot by twelve foot polytunnel, together with staging, raised beds, paving for class and disabled access, compost, tools, safety clothing, water buts and a secure garden shed to enable the polytunnel to be used.

Work on the polytunnel has been started by BTCV with help from volunteers from the Prudential in Stirling.
